Week: July 3rd to July 7th, 2017 Feature Theme: Little Gardeners

What are we  learning?


Dear Parents,
 
We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little gardeners. Children will also explore different sensations by touching dry leaves, cold and warm water and sand.  
 
We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. The week will start with our Independence Parade on Monday. Children will use our Independence Day Hats. On Wednesday, they will enjoy sharing moments with their classmates on Camping Day.

  • Splash Days on Tuesdays and Fridays in the morning.

  • Independence Day Parade on Monday, July 3rd.

Friendly Reminders


  • Wash your hands and your child hands when entering your child’s classroom.

  • Always store pacifiers in their packages.

  • Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.

  • Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has TWO extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.

  • Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.

  • Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.

  • Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested and if needed.

  • Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a Tote bag.

  • Morning snack time is at 8:45 am every day till 9:10 am.

  • Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared.

  • Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule.

  • Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

  • Apply sunscreen to your child every morning.

  • Make sure to keep in your child’s cubby a pair of glasses and a summer hat.

Week: June 26th to June 30th, 2017 Weekly Feature Theme: Little Travelers



What we are learning?
Dear Parents,
 
We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little travelers and interesting facts about United States of America.
 
We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences! Children will enjoy craft activities such as creating flags and hats for our 4th of july parade. They will enjoy a picnic in the park and we will read a book under the shade of a tree. They will also play with bubbles while dancing American songs. It will as always a week full of learning and fun activities kids enjoy and cherish.

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. Summer has started and so have fun days with our Splash days. This week the children will learn everything about being little chefs.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences while playing with water in our Splash days and being in the outdoors. Children will explore and feel the textures of fruits and vegetables and also taste them. They will also have fun while creating the sun on a cardboard with yellow tempera.

This coming week we will review everything we have      learnt through the school year, particularly the areas that require      improvements. Children will learn to identify objects of different textures, shapes and colors.  
  • We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will enjoy some yoga and participate in dramatic play. They will wear costumes and try to recognize the parts of their faces.
