Little Magicians and Clowns

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,
 We hope you are having a beautiful week. This is our last week of summer camp and we want to make sure children have fun while learning.  This week children will enjoy being little magicians and clowns. Children will discover interesting facts about the animals in the circus. We will talk about elephants, lions, bears, and dogs.
 We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences such as:
·         Participate in crazy hair day.
·         Read storybooks about the circus.
·         Play with animal circus puppets and sing songs.
·         Play with colorful parachutes and move them up and down.

 We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills so children can continue learning through experiences. Children will have fun while dancing to different rhythms, they will move up and down their arms and hands and trying to jump and they will also be crawling under a tunnel They will also play with balls of different sizes. Children will try to place the balls in boxes and they will learn to kick them. It will be a fun and exciting week full of physical activities.

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week the children will learn everything about being little creators and we will encourage children to be creative. Children will create, build and design objects using the recycled material such as boxes of different sizes and magazines.

We have also scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Children will create crafts such as collages using magazines figures, play with our surprise box contains different objects, make bubbles and try to catch them with our palms. They will also create animals using recycled boxes and play with our magic box.

Theme: Annual Review. Week: From 06/11/2018 to 06/15/2018


What we are learning?


Dear Parents,

The next week will be the last week of reviewing what we have learned during the school year. We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme, so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Some activities children will enjoy are as follows:

· Play with sensory boxes and discover objects that are soft, big and small. 
· Play with water while giving a bath to our plastic toys.
· Feel the texture of bubbles. 
· Play with animal puppets while singing songs.

Student of the Week

Please make sure to sign up your child for this wonderful activity! 

As you know, every week a child is given a set week that he/she are the student of the week. On Monday of their week, the student of the week should bring a poster and a book created with family pictures, favorite books, sports/hobbies, animals or anything they are interested in. Also, on their week parents and the student of the week may pick a day to present the poster and the book to the class. The student of the week may also bring favorite toys and books to school so they can share with classmates.

· Always store pacifiers in their packages.
· Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.
· Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has TWO extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.
· Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.
· Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.
· Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested and if needed.
· Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream, and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a tote bag.
· Morning snack time is at 8:45 am every day till 9:10 am.
· Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and place them in the refrigerator or counter. If you leave the lunch box in the counter, make sure to put ice packs inside the lunch box. 
· Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule. 
· Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.
