Theme: A World of Colors. Week: From 01/29/2018 to 02/02/2018


What we are learning? 


Dear Parents,

We hope you all have a wonderful week. This week we will start a new theme called “A World of Colors”. Children will learn the primary colors and will explore the world of nature such the sun, the rain, etc. 

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Some activities children will enjoy are as follows:

· Sing songs related to the theme while looking at flashcards.
· Read the monthly poem. 
· Play with sensory bottles. 
· Listen to the sounds of nature such as rain, wind, water, birds, etc. 
· Listen to stories about nature. 
· Create a collage using construction paper will be ripped before use. 
· Work with different materials while feeling their texture such as paper, carton, glue, paint, crayons and fabrics.

Year-Round Activities

Student of the Week
Please make sure to sign up your child for this wonderful activity! 
As you know, every week a child is given a set week that he/she are the student of the week. On Monday of their week the student of the week should bring a poster and a book created with family pictures, favorite books, sports/hobbies, animals or anything they are interested in. Also, on their week parents and the student of the week may pick a day to present the poster and the book to the class. The student of the week may also bring favorite toys and books to school so they can share with classmates.

Friendly Reminders

· Wash your hands and your child's hands when entering your child’s classroom.
· Always store pacifiers in their packages.
· Read, review and fill out your child’s journal with information for the teacher.
· Label all your child’s clothing and items and make sure that your child has TWO extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather in his/her cubby.
· Make sure to remove clothing from the cubby and just leave one set of clothing and a blanket for nap time.
· Make sure to take the blanket home on Fridays for laundry and bring it back on Monday.
· Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name when requested and if needed.
· Make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when bug spray, diaper cream, and any other ointment should be applied and be sure to supply and label the items with your child's name and place them in a tote bag.
· Morning snack time is at 8:45 am every day till 9:10 am.
· Label all bottles and food that you bring to preschool for your child with your child’s name and the date it was prepared and place them in the refrigerator or counter. If you leave the lunch box in the counter, make sure to put ice packs inside the lunch box. 
· Inform the teacher if there has been a change in your child’s feeding schedule. 
· Do not bring your child to school if the child has a fever of over 101F or any contagious conditions.

Theme: Chu Chu Tren Week: From 01/22/2018 to 01/26/2018


What we are learning?

We hope you all have a wonderful week. This week we will continue learning about our theme called “Chu Chu Tren”. Children will continue exploring and discovering how people travel and communicate. Children will continue to get familiar with airplanes and clouds and we will also review the color red and blue. 

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. 

· Children will walk and climb. 
· Children will run after the balls. 
· Children will review words such as airplanes, clouds, and to fly.

Theme: Chu Chu Tren Week: From 01/08/2018 to 01/12/2018



What we are learning? 

Dear Parents,

We hope you all have a wonderful week. This week we will continue learning about our theme called “Chu Chu Tren”. Children will continue exploring and discovering interesting facts about different means of transportation through playing and observation.

We will also continue working on a motor and sensorial activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. 

· Children will create a collage of clouds using white paper and glue. 
· Children will pretend to be airplanes and will learn how to fly. 
· Children will learn new words such as airplanes, clouds, and to fly
· Children will review the color blue and the concepts inside and out and small and big. 
· In a large group setting, we will keep working with the mirror and identify our tongue, eyes, and nose and when I am happy or sad.

Theme: Chu Chu Tren Week: From 01/08/2018 to 01/12/2018



What we are learning? 


Dear Parents,

We hope you all have a wonderful week. This week we will continue learning about our theme called “Chu Chu Tren”. Children will continue exploring and discovering interesting facts about different means of land transportation through playing and observation. They will continue to explore cars, trains, trucks. Through practical actions we keep enlightening kids about how we move from one place to another. 

We will also continue working on motor and sensorial activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences while keeping strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. 

· Children will play with cars, trucks, trains, etc. in different colors. 
· Children will read stories related to this theme. 
· Children will explore the sounds of each means of land transport while playing. 
· Children will identify new words and will associate the object with the word. 
· Children will also review the concept of small and big. 
· Children will create a collage of a big train using paper and glue. 
· Children will keep working in identifying their tongue, eyes and nose and showing when they are sad and happy.
