Song of the Week – A Volar

Title: My community and I Week: From 11/06/2017 to 11/10/2017

What we are learning?

Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week. This week we will learn about community places. It’s important for children to learn their role in a community and that there are safe and friendly people in these community places to help them if they have an emergency. This week we will talk about community places such as hospitals, dental clinics, fire station, police station, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, schools, movie theaters, libraries, museums and theaters.

Through practical actions we will keep enlightening kids about importance of the community places. We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences that help kids explore everything related to our community places in different ways. Each one of these activities will help to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Some of the activities children will enjoy this week are:

· Children will enjoy reading books about community places.
· Children will play to pretend going to a restaurant. They will play with paper plates and cups and they will try to repeat the names of fruits and vegetables.
