Week: March 13^th to March 17^th, 2017

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Buhitos Parents,

We continue with our theme for the month of March called “People and Music around the World”. This coming week we will learn everything about Africa. We will talk about music, their people, their traditions and culture.

We have scheduled learning activities related to this theme to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. This week the activities are oriented to the exploration and discovery of a new wonderful culture by participating in fun live experiences. Children will look at flashcards to explore and discover about people in Africa, they will also dance to the rhythm of African music while learning about their traditional musical instruments and they will explore and discover new animals through images and we will paint some animals with crayons of different colors.

We will be also rehearsing the song for our International Party which will be taking place on April 20^th. More information will follow in the next weeks.

🔆 Friendly Reminders

●      Bring extra set of clothing that is appropriate to weather and make sure to label all your child’s clothing.

●      Bring diapers, wipes and rash ointment and label them with your child’s name.

●      Read your child’s journal every day.

●      Parent Teacher Conferences from March 13^th to March 17^th.
